Many of you will probably be familiar with her already without even knowing. Bajka is a very talented singer & poet who has lent her vocals right across the musical spectrum, from jazz bands, rock, soul, & perhaps most prominently with many electronic groups, notably Bonobo.

I've always enjoyed her vocals, in either form, so when I heard she has a solo album out this year I'm very interested to hear the outcome. Although I haven't been able to track it down just yet, any one else been lucky enough to listen?

Any fans, share some love & discussion?

I enjoy Bonobo (he has one due out this year too, right?) so I'll certainly keep my eyes and ears peeled.

He sure does, titled Black Sands I think. I remember hearing the new single "The Keeper" on his myspace a couple weeks ago. Not bad...

Just listened to The Keeper, wasn't too impressed. Hard to say though because I'm not in the mood for downbeat at all.

Yea, Bonobo always used Bajka's vocals to complement his music. But for me, it always ended up being the other way around. Her vocals made the tracks & his music was an interesting secondary complement to her. That's why I'm keen to hear what she can do on her own. The album art looks pretty cool too.

Her contributions were integral to Bonobo's appeal, that's for sure. Are there any samples of her solo work floating around? Her myspace (if memory serves me right) only featured collabs.

Some tracks off Black Sands leaked, apparently. I can't wait for that.

I haven't had much time for new music lately, but Bajka In Wonderland is one great album, big fan. Growing on me more & more. It's a shame this will go through the year soo criminally overlooked. Bugger...
