i saw the marvel civil war topic and it made me think of this.

did anyone read the rising stars comic series?

I remember it being really cool. Especially after 9/11 when they made that storyline where one the heroes became considered terrorist and the gov't was getting rid of them and that one superhero was trying to steal all the world's nuclear weapons and stuff.

I only read the first 30 issues or so, but that was the glory days of JMS's skills. Quality book, I can't remember the Rising Star that was killing all of them. You want a great JMS story? Read Midnight Nation. That book is a fucking classic.
