Here's an interesting article (http://techdirt.com/articles/20060727/1131227.shtml) that discusses how some have won against the RIAA in court. It seems that pointing out that an IP is not a person is key - give it a read if you're into that sort of thing.

I'm gonna get a huge house with five other people, and we're just gonna download like crazy, and the RIAA won't be able to prove who specifically downloaded the stuff, so we're gonna get off scott-free.

Maybe this time, the RIAA will finally give up.

I can't see the RIAA ever giving up, for them they are just going to have to get a little bit smarter, that is until someone out smarts them again.
