cause he's probably the smartest, and maybe the best overall, hitter in the game.
not to mention he's fast as hell and plays excellent defense.

i cringe every time i see his batters stance. looks like hes strangling his penis.

i seriously cant fathom how fast he gets down the first base line. Also, I never thought it'd be so much fun to watch a guy beat the ball into the ground over and over ...he's got it down to a science.

Sox:
Youkilis
Pena
Papelbon
Ortiz
Lester
I've been awaiting the arrival of the young kids. I cannot wait until I see Papelbon and Lester throw back to back no hitters.
I only hope Lester gains control
Non Sox:
Chipper Jones
Adam Dunn
Craig Biggio
Pedro Martinez
Nomar (sorry Boston fans. I loved this guy for a long time)
Drew Beringer

where do you get your drugs?
lester will never ever ever throw a no hitter. that dudes whip is just awful. he'll be a good pitcher dont get me wrong but that shit you envision is never, ever happening.

lester could throw a no-no ...but i wouldnt put a dime down on a perfect game.
although he did go without giving up a walk last night.

thanks, i didnt catch that.
but what i'm saying is ...his whip is a problem because of control problems. you can issue 6 walks a game and still throw a no-no, obviously.
but this discussion is stupid because a no-hitter happens about once a year.

hasnt been a no hitter in almost 2 full seasons now.

So it'll never happen? You cant distinguish between actual baseball analysis and wishful thinking, can you? Not to mention I added, "I only hope Lester gains control" at the end. It was a problem in AAA and a problem for him coming to the bigs. Its not like he cant change something in his approach or that walks count towards a no hitter.
No hitters are an effort from both pitchers and defenses.

He's not the best overall hitter in the game. Take away his speed and he's not even known by the casual baseball fan. He's a slap-singles hitter who gets a ton of infield hits to raise his average.
And to anyone arguing for Ichiro, please don't bring up the "Ichiro hits balls a mile in batting practice so he could hit for power" argument. Pete friggin' Orr can hit homers in batting practice, it doesn't mean shit.

And yes I said Gagne even though he can't stay healthy. I still love him and loved watching him pitch. I really hope he gets healthy sometime in his career. He's a great pitcher
