Do you think this will have an affect on the upcoming Infinity Ward releases? This is some pretty bad news as these 2 were instrumental in making the Modern Warfare games as good as they are.

they have the formula for making a great multiplayer experience so I think they'll be fine.

Activision announced today that IW will not be producing their next COD game in 2011. This probably has to do with the extreme amount of glitching in the multiplayer, the slow turnaround time to fix it, not to mention in the current gaming world where many games have either first-day DLC or shortly thereafter, MW2 still has none nor any announcment regarding.

The gaming news world is going nuts about this, it's quite a shock to them I guess. Regarding this, the way I look at it, this will affect any future MW titles. For good or bad, we'll have to see. I would rather IW make MW3 and complete the story that the second game left on a cliffhanger but that's just me. Hopefully this whole mess will get sorted out and we'll get the whole story to what happened.

Activision is chock full of fail so I don't know why anyone is surprised. COD already went to shit with MW2 so the mudslide will continue. Woulda happened whether they stood up for their IP or let Kotick take a shit on them.

Well yeah, I'd be pretty shocked about removing dedicated servers too.

Hahahahaha do people really believe this?

They announced a new COD game because people buy them and Activision like money. Trust me, Activision don't give a fuck how buggy MW2 is, as long as people are buying/playing it.

Sledgehammer, it's their first game or something and it will be an action adventure.

This probably has more to do with IW's desire to create fresh IPs as opposed to re-releasing the same game over and over. Activision is not exactly the most honest, honorable company in gaming.
