songs that have weird or intruiging meanings behind them (meanings that the artist themselves has said/confirmed)

the ones I can think of right now:
"The Remedy" - Jason Mraz
-its about a friend of his who had cancer. he would always say "i wont worry my life away" even though he had a huge battle to overcome. he was also born on the 4th of july.."i saw fireworks from the freeway"

"How to Save a Life" - the Fray
apparently about mentoring a crack addict. if you read the lyrics it makes sense.

Chevelle - Panic Prone
-This song is apparently about late night infomercials saying to send a dollar to all the poor kids in Africa and such. Are you willing to make a change to help? etc etc.

Junior Varisty's songs I never understood. That doesn't mean they weren't great though.

i dont know how weird of a meaning this is, since by reading the lyrics you could probably figure it out but "bleed for you" by hidden in plain view is about a friend of rob's who was raped.

Really? I've never heard that before (the meaning of the song, not the actual song itself)


I once heard that "The Reason" by Hoobastank was really a song about the guy's mom. I guess that isn't that weird, but it sounds like such a romantic song.
