i'm 23 and looking to play bass OR maybe rhythm guitar for a band that already has their stuff together, great sound, great equipment, etc. touring or not (yet) touring. interested in playing something like my favorite highway, push play, the summer set, the cab, boys like girls, the rocket summer, all time low, cash cash, mayday parade, jonas brothers, forever the sickest kids, every avenue, honor society, the maine, the higher, stuff like that. pop/rock-pop/punk etc but definitely more on the poppy side of the spectrum like these artists. this is the kind of stuff i write on a regular basis as well.
i've been playing bass and guitar for about 10 years now, kept bass as my main but play a lot of guitar when i write, been in a bunch of bands, can also write well and do some keys, vocals. i have GREAT top of the line bass equipment(musicman stingray bass, ampeg svt classic head & 8x10 cab, etc), but my guitar rig isn't so great(good electric and acoustic, but crappy amp). played in the band lovers make liars for the last couple years as a bassist and i wrote the vocals/lyrics for that band as well, we did warped tour a bunch of other big stuff you can listen to an assortment of songs from that band @ www.myspace.com/loversmakeliars
please only email me if your project is serious AND if you like at least some of the artists i mentioned, otherwise i will not respond. no metal/grunge heads, no old dudes (i'd prefer if everyone in your band falls in the 18-25 category) and i will only START a NEW band with you if you are in my immediate area and have other members already, can show me you're a great songwriter etc. i'm just picky, i'm not a dick, promise.
for out of area bands - i am from los angeles, ca and yes, i am willing to move away to join the right project but if you ask me to do so please have somewhere for me to stay for a little at least.
