This is very tough, but I'm going to give it to Rocco Baldelli. That dude's been lights out since his return to the Majors. Magglio Ordonez is a very close second though. Yours?

Thome : I would have said Nomar but he hasnt really done much since the all star break and it doesnt help him hes on the DL again

For pitching, Tom Glavine and Mike Mussina's season have really suprised me. I never would have guess they'd be doing this well.

Glavine has cooled off a bit though..he hasnt won in his last 8 stars (I think?)

yeah thats why I thought he would be a good candidate..esp if the Mets win the pennant etc
