Final Cut Pro - Music Question

So I am beginning to use Final Cut Pro and for our show, I am using this Appleseed Cast as the theme song.

So when I drag it down to and place it where I want, it only beeps when playing along with the video. Anyone know why this is? When I play the file in the Viewer it works perfect, but once its in Timeline Sequence, it only makes this beeping noise.

Annoying.

Did you render the video file?

Apple + R.

Depending on the type of audio file it is, and how fast your computer is, you may have to render. If you're hearing the beeps, it means it's render time.

Also keep in mind that you best use WAV or AIFF files for audio. FCP does not handle MP3's.

That might be it.

It's an MP3 file. How can I change it to proper format? Cause yeah, when I'm watching what I edited, as soon as it hits to the part where I added this song, it starts beeping over and over again but I can still hear my video audio.

Final Cut is sick. The guy who edited the Alkaline Trio music vdeo "Weve had enough"taught my friend and I how to edit videos using final cut pro. He even showed us a bunch of other music videos he worked on. It was sweet.

Yeah, most younger people who know what they're doing are running on FCP.
