So you people who knows more about politics? You, or your parents?
Who has more political decision making skills?
This comes about because I saw a video saying basically that their parents know nothing of politics that their parents are "taking away the birthright"
I say my parents know more than me but it's impossible to beat my mom she listens and watches all talk radio/ political commentary shows.

i don't claim to know more about anything than anyone.
besides, my parents have lived through more
i may not agree with a lot of people who have lived longer, but i'm not thickheaded enough to think i know more.

Me. My parents know what Fox News and the local paper feed them and then recite it word for word during political arguments.

My dad definitely knows more than me, but I think I know about the same as my mother. Though my older brother probably knows more than all of us.

I want to say that I know more, but I rarely get into political conversations with my dad because of our opposing views and tendencies for arguments.

My dad is the most cynical lefty I've ever met.
Seems like we've got lots of angsty young democrats with crazy Tea Party parents here on AP.net, who knew?

My dad's pretty knowledgeable about politics and my mom watches the news alot. I only get news when my parents send me Time or Newsweek up here at college.

my family thinks the same fucking way, it is SUCH a killer in conversation.
i think i know more in terms of current political events, but only b/c my parents for whatever reason seem to avoid the news. generally speaking though, even just generally in politics, my parents would have to know more than me. by 27 years.

Happens to every generation. We're not free from social influence either.

I definitely do. I was a Poli Sci major and taught them a lot. Plus, my brother, even at 18, is a political nut, so he schools us all.

Out of myself and my mom, I definitely know more. She never pays attention to politics, though I do, and she tends to just agree with whatever she hears, no matter what it is.
