You'd need a license to breed to prevent stupid people from being born.

And I'd make sure that "Separation of Church and State" was emphasized more in the United States.

They both have their reasons. So many things done politically are made by choice of religion. I wish people understood that religion and politics are separate.

And I can not stand people who have a lack of common sense. It's mainly to get rid of those people.

Seems like point 1 was all about taking away rights and point 2 was insuring that people got some rights. A little ironic to me.

Hahahaha if I were to acctually rule the world, I'd make pepole realize that about 5-10% (the same as every other country(un-educated guess;-)) ) are acctually ginger, one of my friends plays football (soccer) for Ireland, and is ginger, but his parents are Italian and I'm pretty sure he was born there too, and another one of my friends parents are Irish (neither are ginger), but he was born in Germany, and he's the only one in his family who's ginger.....And everyone in Ireland treats gingers the exact same as they do in America....ugh I hate the American stereotype of Irish pepole beeing uneducated cave-men.....

So it would be a government connected to religion, or, a government that couldn't control breeding

or

A government not connencted to religion, or , a government that could contorl breeding?

Id hunt for the red ninja. Also create giant fighting robots so I can declare war on space so we can peace. Then once we have peace start another war in hopes to crash a giant space station into earth causing a never ending winter. Then everyone will have to live in space and peace will exist until I find another stupid reason to have a war.

You're basically advocating genocide. On a practical basis, do you know how many people in the world wouldn't even be able to read the test or afford whatever taxes it would no doubt cost to administer this kind of test, which I imagine would be administered on request by people wanting to breed (which means it could have to be given out one time every year or so to every family in the world).

Full quote:

Too long have the workers of the world waited for some Moses to lead them out of bondage. He has not come; he never will come. I would not lead you out if I could; for if you could be led out, you could be led back again. (Applause.) I would have you make up your minds that there is nothing that you cannot do for yourselves. You do not need the capitalist. He could not exist an instant without you. You would just begin to live without him. (Laughter and prolonged applause.) You do everything and he has everything; and some of you imagine that if it were not for him you would have no work. As a matter of fact, he does not employ you at all; you employ him to take from you what you produce, and he faithfully sticks to his task. If you can stand it, he can: and if you don't change this relation, I am sure he won't. You make the automobile, he rides in it. If it were not for you, he would walk; and if it were not for him, you would ride.

Like the ultimate dictatorship? I'd take away every human's reproductive abilities so that we could just end this thing now.
But really...
Switch the last three countries to the metric system
ban space colonization (not exploration)
raise the bare minimum standards for education and medicine world wide

At first I'd do something about the health and safety standards in refugee camps.
So clearly I'd just do the obvious shit.

I would give the UN ultimate power directly underneath me, forming one giant world controlling government.
I would drastically change each "country" and devide the world up into large states that could then be broken down into smaller regions.
I would force the world to learn one specific language (doesnt have to be english, and people don't have to lose their culture, but I would want eveyrone to at least know a basic language).
I would attempt to solve world hunger by removing all meat industries and forcing everyone to becoming a vegitarian. We should be able to grow a lot more food for a lot more people if we werent so caught up on raising livestock. (No, I am not a vegitarian, but it makes so much more sense).
I would run the world as a social democracy (if possible) and hopefully would be able to give health care and food to everyone at some standard that they could afford.
I would impose repoductive laws in certain states, until the population can balance itself out.

do you understand what the separation of church in state was originally intended to be? because based on this, it doesn't seem like it. a person's religion is the lense through which they see life. you can't turn it on and off... so obviously "religious" people will make political decisions based on their beliefs, and there's nothing inherently wrong with that- "involvement" of religion in political decisions isn't what the separation of church and state is supposed to prevent.

If I ruled the world it would start out tyrannical while I set things up and rid the world of as much evil as possible. Then it would be a neverending quest for some sort of overall peace. Yes it's broad, but it's too deep to go into any further and essentially those are my overall goals, so everything I do specifically is just a point on the map of the overall picture.

Like I said, too broad to get into. It would break down into countless rearrangings/breakdowns/build ups of corporations, prison systems, schooling, military, farming, housing, drugs (all of them, pharmaceuticals included), medical, monetary, etc... This is why I kept it broad. I've thought about this since I was in high school. And me and my best friend have regular talks about the effects of trying to reform a society, usually it's just America we're dealing with, but in this case (for this thread specifically) it's the entire world. If you're trying to create the "perfect" world it's never going to happen, but that wasn't what the original question of the thread was. In the end if I ruled the world, nothing would be the same for anyone, period.

Like I said, too broad to get into. It would break down into countless rearrangings/breakdowns/build ups of corporations, prison systems, schooling, military, farming, housing, drugs (all of them, pharmaceuticals included), medical, monetary, etc... That's all well and good, but when you
start out tyrannical

you aren't going to have a good situation on your hands.

I realize this, but then again I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Not before the oppressed throw you off it.

Tyranny doesn't work even under the best intentions because not everyone's goals are identical.

Well luckily for us this isn't really happening, and like I've said since the beginning I'm keeping it broad. I know not everyone has identical goals, but I've also said, if I was the ruler of the world nothing would be the same. I really meant that. I'm not saying it would be a great place to live or that people would adore me, my goal though would be to try and find some common peace between everyone I can. I'm a 24 year old photographer from Dunedin Florida, I'm obviously not equipped, or nearly smart enough to run the world.
