Post some of your favourite feel good songs. Since the sun's coming out and it's starting to feel like summer up here in Ontario, I've been rolling down the windows while I drive, music blaring.

Probably my favourite feel good song, possibly even my favourite song of all time:
Slide - Goo Goo Dolls

Not to ruin your life or anything (especially as a fellow Goo Goo Dolls fan) but that song is a bit of a bummer if you really listen to it.

First show I ever went to:

I'm a huge fan of "Run" of that album. How do you feel about Drawing Black Lines? One of my favorite albums from when BEC Recordings was the killer label.

Wow, that would be an awesome first show. Heck, it'd be an awesome show in general. You lucky bum, you.

My favorite Project 86 album is Songs to Burn Your Bridges By, but Drawing Black Lines is probably my second favorite. I could listen to the beginning of "Stein's Theme" for so long before getting tired of it. The bass just sounds so sick. I also really like the last track, with all that noisy distortion, feedback, etc.

Just look at your avatar. That album is full of crucial springtime, windows down, singing with your music type songs. Other notable choices are:

Half of SoCo's Leaving through the window
Butch Walker "The Weight of Her"
Jarris' To All the Lonely Girls EP

To be honest I never noticed that. After reading the lyrics I do see it, but still. There's more than enough of run away/get married/beautiful girl in the song for me to overlook the pregnancy part : ) I'm still going to love that song. And, I totally agree with the pop-punk. Doesn't matter if it's generic, if it's catchy and you and your friends can sing it, it makes great driving music.

Ha I posted the summer song topic the other day because I also found it starting to get sunny. Where in Ontario you at?

Haha yeah, the weather is absurd for this time of year. 2 weeks ago, when the storm hit, people were ripping up and down my street in snowmobiles. A week later, all the motorcycles, coupes and convertibles come out. I live in the Kitchener-Waterloo area, you?

Awesome 2 picks for Anberlin songs, and SoCo's LTTW is also great. Hurricane is a classic choice. I might have to check out those other 2 picks.

It's been pretty warm out, so I've been blasting feel-good music with my windows rolled down whenever I go for a drive. Lately, been listening to Passion Pit, Animal Collective, Be Your Own Pet, upbeat Copeland songs (Take Care, Downtown, When Paula Sparks, etc.), Dinosaur Jr., ETID, Person L, some Say Anything, and a lot more. Most of the lyrics are usually depressing, but really upbeat. I dunno, I like the contrast.
