In what is becoming an unsettling trend this summer, Florida-based post-hardcore sextet Underoath have dropped off the remainder of the Warped Tour. "We're deeply frustrated and sorry for any inconvenience this has caused," the band said in a statement. "We felt it necessary to take some immediate time to focus on our friendship, as that's more important than risking it for the sake of touring at this time." The band's Canadian tour with Silverstein and Moneen is still slated to happen this September.

Underoath aren't the only band who have dropped off this summer's Warped Tour. He Is Legend dropped off last week due to logistical errors; Gatsbys American Dream dropped off earlier this month to spend time with their familes instead; From First To Last dropped off late last month due to frontman Sonny Moore's vocal nodes; the Fall Of Troy dropped off before the tour even started to instead work on their new album.



I've heard that the NOFX drummer hit Spencer in the face and so they have decided to get off the tour... has anybody heard anything about that?

If he really did then NOFX should really be kicked of the tour because not only do they play out of tune- all their songs are stupid and pointless. They need to shut their mouths and open their minds.

The biggest letdown was Say Anything doing the Dashboard tour instead of Warped.

Any way, I don't mind Underoath. I liked The Changing of Times. The stuff before that is good but hard to get into with the lengthy song times. New stuff is okay, new CD is much better than the other one.

I think Fat Mike, while legendary, is a prick. Sure, I think Christianity is dumb too, but its bullshit for him to go onstage and not only make fun of the religion (which I'm sure a good portion of the audience is a part of), but another band for believing it. Bashing people because they have different beliefs? Doesn't that go against everything punk stands for? NoFX preaches shit all the time. I know it would never happen, but they deserve to be kicked off.

where does everyone get all this information about spencer doing coke and nofx drummer hitting spencer in the eye? i have heard other stuff like nofx getting two u@ members drunk. i just want to know if you guys are like friends with the bands or if you just go along with all the rumors that little emo kids make up because they have nothing better to do than to be on the internet all day and claim they know all their favorite bands because they added them to their myspace friends.

also, ive heard that a member of underoath is getting married...that might be a legit reason why the band is thinking about taking a break...since that is what about happened with as cities burn.

Listen, I think both bands put a buttload of effort into playing music for people like you and me, as cheesy as that sounds. Why can't everyone just drop it. I think Underoath played a much better show than NoFx and are a lot more respectful to their fans, definitely, but let's face it, NoFx is the Warped Tour band.
