Hey Guys, As you can probably already tell, I am a big fan of Minus the Bear. I have found a handful of other bands that sound somewhere in the same ball park but content and vocals seem to always deter me from really enjoying most of them. While I do listen to some of them, I need to get away from a lot of the slow, more depressing sounding/lyrical bands. I find my music effecting my mood and general thoughts greatly, and while I might enjoy some of the music, I come out feeling bad overall once im done listening. I'm looking for something more upbeat and energized. I also find myself listening to new music and absolutely loving it, until the vocals come in. I just cant listen to the whinny, I hate life, high pitched vocals. (please no flaming its just a personal preference) This is why I love Minus the bear so much because it is very mellow and technical, while most of the time being positive and Jake's voice is nice and smooth. I'm going to list a few other bands that I like and listen to frequently and I'm hoping you guys can open my eyes to some new artists.
