If you join The Militia Group's (http://www.themilitiagroup.com) Facebook group (http://bsu.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2204764224) and/or add them to your Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/themilitiagroup), they'll send you their new summer sampler for free if you email your mailing address to cpasst@themilitiagroup.com with the subject "free sampler."

Well, I misspoke, you need to be on their facebook group or friends on myspace to get the sampler, so do that first!

Don't forget to send us your address! After joining the group/adding us on myspace, of course.

Do you have the track list? Any new bands we should keep our ears open for?

Ok, sorry, figured it was an online sampler and you just emailed us the link. Didn't realise it was posted, Drew's post doesn't mention that!

I sent the tracklist to Drew to post

As far as the new bands go, definately check out Lakes, which is Seth Roberts ex-Watashi Wa. There will be an EP released in the fall.

Also, earlier in the summer, we signed Jill Cunniff who was a part of Luscious Jackson. She wrote songs for Emmylou Harris and also penned "Naked Eye" which was one of the more popular songs of the 90s. Highly recommended for fans of Frou Frou and/or Le Tigre.

HOWEVER, neither of these bands are on the sampler. There is an yet-to-be released song by Denison Witmer, and a song by the Japanese band Oceanlane--which is a wonderful band on our japanese distributors label, Howling Bull. They are HUGE in japan right now.

There are songs by The Appleseed Cast, Brandtson, Controlling the Famous, Umbrellas, and The Holy Fire as well.

Great CD, I've been bumping it for about a month now in my car.

The Appleseed Cast - Here We Are (Family in the Hallway)
Brandtson - Nobody Dances Anymore
Controlling The Famous - Two Sides
Umbrellas - Crooked
The Appleseed Cast - Mountain Halo
Brandtson - Earthquakes and Sharks
Umbrellas - Again and Again
Controlling the Famous - Highway Parking Lot
Oceanlane - Signs (Radio Edit)
The Holy Fire - Raised on Planes
Denison Witmer - Los Angeles

All great tunes. We've been rocking out to this all summer.
