Like Paper Hanger last time around, the first released track that mwy have offered is underwhelming. Not a terrible song per se, but it does not bring the jaw to the floor. As we all know Paper Hanger ended up sounding nothing like the last record, so let's hope this song is similar in those regards. Did I mention how much I love this band?

go to http://www.cornerstonefestival.com/coverage2006.cfm and watch the video of mwy playing "a sweater poorly knit". its a pretty sweet song in my opinion

I'm a fan of January 1979 as my favorite track by them, but I love that whole fox album. This song sounds more like that album style which is alright but that other song that I saw a video for a while back was definitely a more poppy and awesome style they had going with the harp. Can't wait to hear the studio version of that and hope for more of that on the album.

I don't know. I saw them at the Glass House the August/Sept. before Foxes came out and I asked their merch guy if the album sounded anything like Paper Hanger and his response was, "Yeah, the band was sort of unsure whether to leave the song on the album or not. Don't worry, it doesn't sound anything like the rest of the cd." But to your credit the song did sound much better as part of the record than it did when I heard it before the cd came out. As for this album, I hope it is more along the lines of the Sweater Poorly Knit bootleg I heard than this new Myspace song. It just isn't as tightly executed or as sexy as mwY are capable of.

The kewl backing vocals in Nice And Blue pretty much make the song.

EDIT: When the song first started I thought it sounded exactly like 1/79 Redux, but as it progresses it just keeps getting better and better.
