They were really bad. But I liked them in middle school when I was in to shitty punk

Meh. I don't have much of an opinion on the Germs. Really, they were a pretty poor and mediocre LA punk band. Still, Pat Smear is/was a talented guitarist and as a club punk band, they were as good as anyone else. Really, most of the LA hardcore bands are just there to make noise whilst you jump around.

Still, I'd listen to Germs over Foo Fighters any day of the week.

In my opinion, the Germs were one of the seminal Punk bands of the 1970's. They have inspired so many other punk artists including myself. Darby's lyrics are so full of wit and truth, they cut through commercialism and bullshit like a hot razor.
