It's open to the public? I didnt know that. But oh the perks of going to Cornell, even if I've never really listened to MCS before.

Incredible live band. One of the best I've seen in fact - go see them and prepare to be won over.
Hmm.. I haven't passed up an MCS live show, ever.. which is strange, because I've missed a few Thursday shows and they're my favorite band. So I guess have to make this journey!

Yeah I know... Mine's August 18-20... Seems plausible enough for them to hit southern Ohio sometime before the European tour

i am pretty sure it is, it is free. if it wasn't open to the public they wouldn't have it in an open place and without tickets. if it was private they would have students pick up tickets or something or show a student id and it says nothing about that.

Im pretty sure it's free since its orientation week, unless its like Slope Day (where they only allow registered students and their guests).

UCLA had Rx Bandits and Strung Out play here multiple times. MCS is nothing compared to them.

Oh, thats really saying something... You're a stupid fucking close-minded punk bitch, or at least thats what you want everyone to think you are.

Matt's sister just had her first baby (and his first niece) so he's going to go home for a few weeks right after warped ends. i'm going to assume that the 26th will probably be their first show back from that break.

mcs is good live, save for the moog... it is usually very out of key. i realize its hard to emulate exactly what they play on the cd, but ive seen other bands use synthesizers that at least came close to what you hear on the album.

Haha I don't listen to any of these bands that are supposedly coming. I guess I better get going on that.

No, it was supposed to be those bands, but not anymore, we had the facebook group wrong. The opener(s) are still unknown.
Yes it's open to the public and it's free.
Cornell puts on a free show at the beginning of every school year, not necessarily for orientation week.

i have to say that this one beats virginia coalition last year, but i'm not as into mcs as i once was. the strokes is going to be pretty sweet, i have to say. and i'm guessing it's part of orientation thing, didn't they have a band for the "big red blowout" last year too? i can't remember if anyone played or not..

ya MCS doesnt even know who the openers are, so I doubt anyone else does.
and it is the first show back from their 13 day break, and the only one in august (i'm 99% sure).
