I think Sonny is an awful vocalist and when he was kicked out there were possibilities that they could become decent, but when you add senseless growling and this need to sound "ferocious" when the need is clearly non existent, it's idiotic.

I don't see why this band gets hated on anymore than any other band. They're hard working guys, Don't use autotune (well, I know that they stressed that they never did on earlier releases with Sonny) and are just an all-round genuine band. Dear Diary, in my daily random search of an album that could put a smile in myface and doesn't make my teen angst have a body count, I found the new album of the band called From First to Last. I never really cared about them, but I gave it a try: I also thought that the title, Throne to the Wolves, was perfect, in line with 15 cm of snow that covered my garden. But I listened and I was horrified, disgusted, I even tried heroine to make it more acceptable, but it was a real shit. So the reason why I never cared about this band came to my mind and I realized that they suck really hard.

i dont understand the hate, nobody will ever be happy. when sonny was out of FFTL matt obviously tried to change the sound of the band to fit his voice for the self titled, a few of the songs were really good but some were not good, overall making the album mediocre compared to their previous stuff. it was definitely more of a pop punk oriented record. but they realized that was not working for them and went for another sound, one still in the same genre but pretty much the opposite.

the new record is just awesome in my opinion, definitely the best thing they have ever released. its still catchy and has poppy choruses but its a lot heavier. the guitar work is amazing, vocals have improved, the songs themselves are a lot better, there isnt a moment in the CD where i feel bored which is a first for a FFTL album. dear diary was awesome and i love the sonny era, but people seriously move on and get over it. its never going to happen again so try to listen to the last 2 CDs as a new beginning and a different band. they are good and better than a lot of the crap out there.

The only good thing FFTL ever had was Phillip Reardon on their ep. Sonny was horrible.. I stopped giving 2 shits about the band. And OP you can't judge bands on their names, that's the stupidest thing i've seen someone use as an argument to try to "trash talk" someone's taste. Just wow..
Anyways FFTL is pretty horrible nuff said. Can we close this now? ;-)

i actually like it. has some solid songs. you have to get into the mindset of it. inoculate the world and significant other are the best.
