Kirk Huffman (bass) and Kyle O'Quin (keyboards) of Gatsbys American Dream (http://www.absolutepunk.net/gatsbysamericandream) have posted music from their new side-project: Kay Kay And His Weathered Underground (http://www.purevolume.com/kaykayandhisweatheredunderground).

Of course you will finish it. After everyone loses their shit with worry you'll be the person to post the news that GAD are in fact not breaking up.

As the resident GAD afficionado, can you quell Jason's rumor making very quickly, and then follow it up with a Gatsby's review?

the band is just taking time off. this time off has given them time to do other side projects and spend time with fiance's, family, etc. there's not too much to read into. review up in the next few days.

This is pretty damn quality stuff. Bat Shit Crazy reminds me of Gogol Bordello (instrumentally).

No, when you said it like you did (before you edited to say take time with fiances and what not) I read it as "maybe no live performances for a while" thus I'm going to make the trip to Seattle instead of waiting for the next time they're a bit closer. It's the last weekend before school and I wasn't planning on making a big trip - that's why I say sonofabitch.

no one cares if there is a source that's close to you, it matters when the source is close to the band dude.

this shit is ridiculously good...they should do a small tour, and come to Jersey(although that isn't very realistic because we're on the opposite side of the country).

A frined of mine is close with Nic's sister, and she told him that they were just planning on taking a two year (approx.) break to focus on some new projects and family, relationships, etc. That's pretty much straight from the horse's mouth, and if Scott says it, too, then it's pretty much confirmed.

Two years?! TWO YEARS?! I find it funny, if this was any other band besides GAD, the hardest working band in the industry, I would be like meh, that's cool. But because they are always touring and releasing albums once a year, this just sucks horribly. Not that it is true (yet) but still, the idea is all kinds of lame. Hope it's not so true.

EvilButters

So if this two year break rumor is true, when is it supposed to start? Also...I want more Kay Kay and the Weathered Underground.
