What are everyones thoughts on him? I know we are brutal to him, and I'm brutal to him too. But I really dig this jam, and I feel like we hold his past against him. He's definitely grown up. I'm still not a fan, I'm just trying to gauge if peoples opinion of him are changing?

Well I was this close to forgiving him until I saw that fucking annoying video where he's in a soldier's uniform singing about peace. His voice makes me want to cry (in a bad way) and his lyrics are just.... Terrible. I think he'll get better with time though, he already has.

I actually like the new album a decent amount. The lyrics are still pretty awful in spots but the music is so much better. I can see him getting better and better with time

I already hate this shit enough, so I figured why not check out that side project "metal" band someone posted.
I like how they say the whole project is just a joke. In the one song they say something along the lines of forming metal bands w/lots of breakdowns is just kids cashing in on a myspace trend.

When In reality his "real" project is nothing more than that a cash in on a popular myspace trend.

I really can't stand him. I liked him for a little while (maybe a month or so), and I think it was more a "oh, how cute, a nice, genuinely sweet boy who plays guitar and sings cute songs about girls and he's not that annoying," but then he was really preach-y about God, and sex, and all this stuff, but then all of a sudden, a year or so later, he's all "I SMOKE WEED. GOTTA HAVE A BLUNT ERRDAY," and a whole lot of "I LOST MY VIRGINITY TO A GIRL IN THE BACK OF A CAR AND THEN SHE CHEATED ON ME WITH THE TENNIS TEAM, YEAH MAN, THE TENNIS TEAM." I have to say... Yes, we all find this to be quite annoying at the moment, BUT, I think the guy has the right vision and he's doing a great job at trying to execute it. Give the guy about 5 more years of singing/writing/ACTUAL real life situations/all in all "finding himself" so to speak and he could be a killer musician.

I saw him at Mall of America about a month ago where he did an acoustic show I think, I didn't really stick around. I stood on the third floor and looked down to the first, and every. single. person looked exactly the same. I'm dead serious, haha. Same hair, same jeans, same shoes, and of course every girl had the same Never Shout Never tee shirt from Hot Topic, and when I went down to the main floor, all of the guys were gloating about how they would 'so go ghey' for Cristofer Drew.

Oh, and we heard him play all the way from Ruby Tuesday. He sounded bored. He justs bugs me, I don't even know why. The way he acts just seems fake, like he's trying to pull the puppy dog thing to get the younger crowd to like him. I'm not a fan.

His main talent is writing catchy pop songs. Even though there are tons of people who can do that, if he keeps it up, 8th grade girls will continue to keep Hot Topic understocked on Never Shout Never t-shirts and music fans on AP and elsewhere will continue to talk shit.
