The Wall. But you should have also included Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness on this poll.
songs in the key of life. "As" alone would be enough for me to choose that album

Blonde on Blonde, no question about it. First significant double album released, Dylan was at the height of his creativity, and Stuck Inside of Memphis make it the best selection out of all of these. Love this album.

The Beatles, followed by Electric Ladyland and Blonde on Blonde.
Broden Terry
03/11/10, 01:45 AM
The White Album. Closely followed by London Calling.

That album will never grow old. Not a bad song on it. Maybe it won't be my favorite forever but I'm pretty sure it'll be up there for a long time. Nothing today can touch it.

while The River and London Calling are both great albums... they don't even come close to the White Album
I'm not saying it's better than any of these, it's hard to battle The Beatles, the Stones or Dylan, but my personal favorite double album is Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. It should've at least had a voting spot on this poll.

Wow VERY tough poll, but I have to give it to The Beatles. My favorite band of all time, and White Album is pretty much tied with Sgt. Peppers as my favorite record of theirs. Those guys were in SERIOUS disarray and they still managed to pump out an amazing, albeit sprawling, collection of songs. Led Zep, Hendrix, and Floyd all deserve honorable mention here though.

Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile
Seconded
Followed closely by Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.
Now as far as triple albums go, we both know who will have the best one of those...

Gotta give it to the Wall. One of the first albums I ever became obsessed with.

The only reason I said something is because the poll question isn't about your Favorite, it's the Best.

the white album, song for song, might be better than pet sounds. ""I Will", "Helter Skelter", "Obladi, Oblada","Revolution", "Martha My Dear", "Birthday", "Blackbird", "White My Guitar Gently Weeps". When you've got 2 album's worth of material, I guess you get a double chance.
In Defense of the Genre? haha

Making me pick between The Wall, Blonde On Blonde, and The Beatles should never be done. However, I went with The Beatles, because I don't think Blonde on Blonde is one of Bob's strongest albums.

A kindred spirit. How the hell are 2pac and Springsteen beating Stevie Wonder? That is landmark album in pop music history. I can buy The Beatles beating him, but not 2pac and Springsteen.
