You can read a review of Brand New's (http://www,absolutepunk.net/brandnew) July 28th show in Buffalo, New York right here (http://www.andrewduch.com/2006/07/29/brand-new-nyc-728-show-review/#more-40).

Good review, but it's factually incorrect and very silly at times.

the only thing "factually incorrect" about it was that it was submitted as being the buffalo show but the review clearly says it happened in NYC. and at what point was the review "very silly"?

nice review, all i read was
"This was the best concert I have ever been to. And Brand New is still the best punk rock band out there. I can’t wait for their new album — and I can’t wait to see them live again."
quiet silly indeed

OK.

"The pit was going absolutely nuts by the end of the song. And it only got more nuts as the first few notes of The Quiet Things echoed in the hall. I don’t remember much from the song — I was too busy scheduling gasps for air amidst jumping, dancing, moshing, and screaming at the top of my lungs. By the end I was DRENCHED in sweat. I think “it was friggen insane” suffices." This is hilarious.. I'd never calla Brand New pit insane, and I've seen them four times in the last few months.. that is, unless I'ven ever been to a show before in my life.

"The crowd started chanting Jude Law. Brand New hasn’t played Jude Law in well over two years. " False; it's been played on this tour.

"This was the best concert I have ever been to. And Brand New is still the best punk rock band out there. I can’t wait for their new album — and I can’t wait to see them live again." Brand New is not really punk rock. But that's just a little thing, not really a "fact" thing.

Also, he failed to mention the Ziggy Stardust thing :(

Like I said, good review, but some of the parts are just wrong and silly.

I beg to differ. That pit was realllly bad, especially if you were in the second or third rows b/c you got crushed and then almost sucked under. My friend and I had to leave the pit 3/4 through b/c of fear of collapse. Plus, we were drenched by the third or fourth song. I still have bruises from this show.

Just for reference, what other shows have you seen lately? [I hope that doesn't come off as sarcastic/dick-ish]

fuck, i went to the NYC show on 7/27 and they didn't play jude law. it was still incredible nonetheless. and i'd assume the crowd was similar at this show considering it was the same venue, and yeah it was a fun crowd but nothing insane. besides the things that were already pointed out this is a solid review. i can't stop listening to take apart your head since i saw them, it sounded epic live.

I beg to differ. The pits for Brand New get quite rowdy. They aren't the most hardcore of pits, but to be stuck in one when you're not in the mood to fight for air isn't exactly fun. They're quite rough.

Punk rock? I wouldn't agree.

Not a bad review though. Makes me miss seeing them already.

i dont see the point in reading it, every review ive read from this tour is the same considering the set lists are basically the same, the same things are said, same shitty crowds are there, brand new is always awesome, etc. i just wanna hear the new record already!

it would be fantastic if brand new would EVER come to wisconsin...

i think they've been here maybe once total. and that was on the warped tour, which I don't consider a real show.

It was a good review to get you pumped for the show, but not the greatest review in terms of detail and actual information about the performance. Just depends on what you're looking for.

At the boston show the pit wasn't exactly wild or crazy...but I got fucking crushed. More than I expected to at a band like brand new, at least. I was around 2nd row the whole night and the front started 80% girls and ended 80% guys.

It didn't come off dickish. No big. :)

I was at the HGB/Acceptance/P!ATD/TAI... tour, the Cartel/StartingLine/Other Bands I Don't Remember Tour.... I was at the D/C college tour, also. But that is NEVER rowdy so it's not like I have much basis for comparison there.

Recently, though, I haven't had the time to go to shows. That's why the most recent one was in April.

Edit: I don't think that the Brand New crowd was the rowdiest of rowdy. Don't get me wrong. But, it was certainly more intense than I expected. I mean, HELLO. It's Brand New. Is pushing all of the girls out of the way really necessary so you can scream lyrics at Jesse and elbow me in the neck? No. Not really.

Yea, i totally agree. It was just hot in the place cuz Webster Hall isn't that big. Unless you're a 16 year old girl, you shouldn't be saying the pit was anything crazy.
