Blabbermouth.net (http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=55928) is reporting that a bunch of Slayer (http://www.slayer.net/) bus-bench ads (http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y160/BlabberPhotos/Miscellaneous/slayer_bench.jpg) have been pulled due to complaints over their "offensive content."

i couldnt think of a better way to advertise the new slayer album than by telling everyone their originalads were too offensive for the public.

haha awesome, they dont even look offensive, if it was like a baby getting murdered by george bush or a sign saying im a terrorist if i sit on this bench then i think it would be a little different

Are you fucking kidding me? Do you not even see the album artwork right there on the bench, along with the title "Christ Illusion"? It's a fucking stupid album cover if you ask me, but what more could you ask from Slayer than lameness. And if you think I'm Christian, I'm not.
And in case you can't see the album cover, it's a fucked-up looking Jesus with an eyepatch and his arms cut off, standing in a pool of blood with heads floating in it. Oh yeah, not to mention the 666 and the huge word "SLAYER". Yeah, not offensive to anyone at all....

the offensiveness of something is obviously subjective.

Why does Slayer have an ad campaign on benches in the first place? Who remembers when Slayer had balls and did things for other means than a cry out for attention? To me, from now on, slayer is nothing more than a 14 yr old girl on myspace that posts 15 blogs a day about commenting her half naked pictures.
