I don't follow college basketball too much until the conference tourneys and then march madness. Aside from Notre Dame or any Ohio school, I just root for whoever I picked on my bracket, but it still makes me interested in all the games. I also like it because it just feels like more is on the line knowing that a majority of these players will not play in the NBA and this is the end of the road for their careers on the main stage.

I might rival you for least manly man alive. Why am I saying that as though it was something to be proud of? I don't understand how people can get so involved with sports though. I kind of hate cars though because my mom's brothers are obsessed with them and tried to shove it down my throat when I was younger.

Because you all have a need to assert your elitism over nba fans? I don't find the need to slam other people's interests to bring more validity to my own.

Ha, I'm not "asserting my elitism," I genuinely feel that the NBA is a joke. It's kind of hypocritical to tell me NOT to voice my opinion, as it was you who quoted me first.

I never told you not to voice your opinion. You've made 2 different comments that aren't painted as opinions, but as facts:
If you don't like the tournament, you're just not a fan of basketball.
Here you're saying that people can't be fans of basketball and not like the tournament. Factually, that's just not true. I'm a prime example.
I meant real basketball.
Here you're saying that the NBA isn't real basketball. That's an opinion you're painting as objective. It's not.
All I said was that rather than enjoying your preference in basketball and letting others enjoy their own, you find the need to call out NBA fans. Maybe it's to make your interests seem more valid - who knows. But at the end of the day, liking one doesn't necessitate the shut down of fans of the other. I think that the NBA has team play but also has superstar quality players that are great to watch. You won't find a Lebron or Kobe in college ball (quite literally because neither of them played college ball) because the players in college haven't had a chance to develop that far. That's by no fault of their own, that's just the natural progression. In 5 years, I'd guess Johnny Flynn will be far and away a better player than he was on 'Cuse. He already is and he's playing for a junkyard team.
At the end of the day, I completely respect college hoops fans. That's the style of basketball they like and I dig that; to each their own. I don't, however, respect college hoops fans that have some chip on their shoulder and jump up to start antagonizing NBA fans everytime somebody says they're a fan of the NBA rather than college. That's just unnecessary.

I can and will call out NBA fans, because I don't believe in supporting that joke of a league. College ball is basketball it its purest, whereas the NBA is a superstar-marketing program. You're free to like whatever you want, but, you know, take a look at what you're supporting. I'm just one hundred percent against that bullshit.

If it's such a "joke" of a league, why is it that most of the players in your preferred league are dying to get there and most aren't good enough to do so?
There's no point in having this argument because in the end you're just another NCAA fan that thinks they have something to prove. Eventually, hopefully, you'll get over that. But until then, enjoy your NCAA. Maybe one day you'll stop trying to convince everybody to like it too - maybe you'll just be confident enough to like what you like and let others like what they like.

1. I can accept that answer.
2. You can try to spin it all you want, but the fact remains that most of the players you love watching aren't talented enough to play in the arena that I love watching.
Lastly, 3 and 4 roll into each other on this one. You may not be trying to boost your credibility, but you've already argued that you "can and will call out NBA fans." You're not following your number 4 because you are calling out other fans at every pass, and your number three may be true, but it still doesn't explain your need to shut down fans of the NBA. What is at the root of your need to call out NBA fans? They're fans of something you're not - get over it.
