So I'm taking a trip and will be driving for 14 hours so I'd love some new music suggestions. I'm familiar with the bands that AP posts about so the lesser known the band the better. I like everything from soft acoustic stuff to hardcore and everything in between and also some hip hop (like Sage Francis and P.O.S., not Lil Wayne and that shit). Thanks in advance.

Bradley Hathaway - A Mouth Full of Dust (Recommended tracks: "Momma," "Look Up," "Covered in the Blood")
-This is a really cool folk rock album I recommend in all such threads. It has a lot of quiet, stark moments instrumentally, but there are also some powerful crescendos.

Nick Drake - Pink Moon (Recommended tracks: "From the Morning," "Pink Moon")
-You asked for folk, so I might as well name drop this site's favorite classic folk artist to name drop. It's a really beautiful album.

Selena Gomez and the Scene - Kiss & Tell (Recommended tracks: "Naturally," "Tell Me Something I Don't Know," "I Don't Miss You at All")
-Yes, I am recommending this, and not ironically. It's been one of my favorite feel good albums as of late. If you like catchy pop anthems and aren't too distracted by this being that Disney Channel girl, you may like it.

This is what I've come up with off the top of my head.

I was going to suggest This Will Be the Death of us, but that works too.

I personally enjoy Between the Buried and Me's Colors for a road trip, but that's just me.
