Based on your avatar and user-title, you will love it. (Alternatively, based on those things, you are pretty cool.)

I love this CD, one of my earliest favorites. So many great tracks. Also, How's It Going To Be is my favorite song.

Ahh 3eb, i was just listening to their new album this morning (which is underrated IMO). I loved the self titled, i could listen to about half of Blue and Out of The Vein but thats about it. I cant wait for Ursa Minor.

I bet people dont reaslize that Stephen Jenkins is 45. The self titled came out when he was 32/33, which is unheard of now a days. This is probably the reason why the albums hold up, he isnt making shit up with his songs, they are from life experiences. Shit, Out of The Vein was basically all about his relationship/break up with Charlize Theron.

My friends and I listen to this album so much now. I've gotta say OOTV is my favorite though, probably because I listened to it exclusively last summer.
Seeing them in April!!!

Love this album very much. How's It Gonna Be is one of my favorite 3EB songs. Their entire catalog is excellent as well, seeing them in June

It's an awesome album, but the ones after were very underrated. Out of the Vein has one of my all time favorite songs, "Can't Get Away". Even though SJ's lyrics are sometimes ridiculous, some of them are really great and they show in alot of their songs.

Classic. It always finds its way to my ipod spring/summer.

3EB was my first rock show ever while they were supporting this CD. (that shows how old I am.) They closed with God of Wine and I was blown away.

Though I hated it when it first came out, "Don't Believe A Word" is a pretty fun song when I listen to it now. The new cd is pretty good altogether, with "Water Landing" and "Summer Town" being my favorites, minus the pseudo-rapping/rhyming parts.

aww best parsts of the songs!!

There is also a part where he goes "no, no, no, no", i think its on Summer Town. He sings it the exact same way as a song on Blue, i think it was Deep Inside Of You. I dunno, i wanted to mention that because i recognized it immediately.

Excellent album. Very happy to see how well it's stood the test of time. When it came out, most people wrote 3EB off, but they lasted from 90's alt rock and survived through the nu metal era, the pop punk resurgence, the emo boom and they're still going strong. They never seem to be phased by what's popular at the time, great lasting power for sure.

One of the few albums where every song is near perfect. God of Wine is amazing.

wildaman1
03/16/10, 04:42 PM
best trio of closing songs on any album, with "the background" being my favorite. but like everybody says the whole album is stellar, "narcolepsy" being one of my other favorites. what's amazing about the album is i like the radio friendly and popular songs. my least favorite song on the cd would probably be "graduate" but only because it pales in comparison to all the other songs, not necessarily cause it's a bad song. it's great live though

Listen to this pre-album version of Summertown (http://www.3ebarchive.com/music/live%20@%20poughkeepsie,%20ny/Third%20Eye%20Blind%20-%20Summertown%20%28live%20@%20Pough keepsie,%20NY%2004-25-07%29.mp3) and now tell me that the rap didn't ruin the song.

This is one of my first albums that I ever bought, I was 11 back when I bought it and I really only listen to Semi-Charmed Life and that's it, I didn't like the rest but now that I'm older I have learned to appreciate the album and its a classic.

Yea it's my absolute favorite by them and they only sing it in a medley during their shows. Such a bummer.

Third Eye Blind in a basement with around 100, maybe 150 people there. Best fucking show ever.

Anyway, great album. Self-Titled, Blue, and Out of Vein are all great albums. Ursa Major is not bad but it doesnt compare to their old stuff.
