The Netherlands played a friendly against USA on 3 march. Result 2-1 for the Netherlands. Nigel de Jong broke Stuart Holden's leg with a tackle. Sorry for that!! :P

on paper i like the dutch team aswell, but they always have good sides that start the tournament strong but fade at the end

Spain probably has the best team in the world right now, they're definitely my pick for the title.

Argentina has the most raw talent in any team, but they also have a fucking terrible coach. I mean, over 100 call ups in 16 matches, including a debut for a 36 year old??? What the hell? It's a goddamn shame because if they had a proper manager, I could see them winning this.

Brazil are always contenders for the cup.

England have a strong side, but for some reason, they never perform as well as they should. This should be intensified by the whole Terry/Bridge thing.

Or maybe it's time for an African side to win it. They all have pretty solid, hard working teams.

At any rate, it should be an interesting cup.

I don't think African teams will go far, I've seen the Africa Cup and there is not much quality to find there. Often they have one or two good players, but the rest are just filling. The best African team, Egypt, isn't even participating. England has a good team on paper, but just as Holland, they are not cup-fighters, but Spain wasn't either until they won the European Cup... I think Capello could maybe change this for England. If I really had to put all my money on a team, it would be Brazil, solid all-around and cup-fighter spirit!

Capello made a real difference for you guys. But I don't see you win it bc I doubt that England can operate as a team. Plus they don't have much variety, all players are very physical, but lack a little creativity. Plus we have an old saying in Holland, when you want to beat the English, play the ball over the ground and not through the air. Besides that, I have sympathy for England so I hope they will go far.
