I can only tolerate Ok Go if im watching one of their hip new music videos. Im not a huge fan of White Stripes either, but I can definitely take the time to listen to them.

Meg does what she does well: quarter notes on bass with a snare hit every other beat. If one person in a band is far above and beyond the talent level of any other member of another band (and I really do enjoy OK Go), then it's kind of a hard argument to make. If we were talking about the Cab, and trying to use the same argument, yeah, it might not be as sound, but the White Stripes are only two people.

I wish I could choose a neither on this poll. If it were Jack White vs. Ok Go that would be an easy choice. Meg White's absolute awfulness nearly cancels Jack White. However, her black whole of suck just isn't big enough to bring him down all the way. Had to go with the White Stripes here. No question.

Nay. I don't even known where to start with this answer.
- She's not good at even keeping a backing beat. She takes the idea of even rhythm and craps on it.
- The White Stripes are not blues. They may have a blues-inspired sound, but that's not blues.
- Music that is of a blues nature doesn't just require a "backing beat." That's a crazy generalization.
I voted white stripes because Jack White is very talented. However, everyone associated with Ok Go from the band to the roadies are more talented than Meg White.

I'm gonna have to disagree heavily with the first part, as for the second part, I doubt Jack and Meg are very good at choreographed dance.

Okay. So you're telling me being able to play Guitar, Banjo, Piano (later TWS), Drums (The Dead Weather), Bass (random live performances), and basically any household object with skill doesn't qualify as being able to do what OK GO does? Jack White could play the entirety of 95% of OK GO's songs without Meg.

I just think the gap between Jack and the members of OK Go from a playing perspective is large enough that even Meg as a mediocre/basic player keeps the overall talent level up, versus a group of four who are all just decent.
