...is still so fun.
I know there are a lot of threads on FF in general, but I don't think I've seen a thread strictly about FFVII, so yeah, whatever, haha.
I'm sort of sick of IX but it isn't bad, and I think still that VIII is great, but I finally saw Advent Children like, a week ago and it inspired me to start another FFVII game.
Haha, I've beaten this game like, two or three times already and I can't believe I actually want to play it again.
I think there is a thread about the movie somewhere, but I forgot to search it. Oh well. I thought the part with Sephiroth was kind of too short and overall, the movie seemed kind of rushed although it wasn't short. Still good, though, and the animation looked pretty damned good.
FFVII is so good. But I also love IX.
Both stories just get you completely hooked. FFVIII sucked IMO. I hated the battle system.
Same here. VIII's story made up for it though and the characters were cool.

Haha, I remember how impressive the graphics in VIII seemed when it first came out.

Seriously, it is tied with MGS1 for my favorite game of all time.
I don't really like 2 or 3, but 1 is so good.
They're both such good games. And seriously, they're both really touching (haha, I can't believe I said that, but I'm serious), oddly enough.
I still hate it so much when Aeris dies. I don't even really like Aeris but seriously, it makes you feel so bad.

Haha, actually trying to "wield" that thing would be damned near impossible. It would be sweet if somebody could do it, though.

It feels so rewarding to beat it every time.
I seriously hope that the PS3 doesn't flop, just because I want the new FF and new MGS to work out so, so, so badly. From what I've seen, as far as previews for the new FF go, that game looks like it's going to be so amazing.
And to that other dude; to each his own, but for me, VIII can't even compete with VII. That game just has too much sentimental value to me, as sad as that is.

It really is a lot of fun. I downloaded it for my laptop and play it everytime I get bored.
Now, I just get bored on purpose.

I think that would be impossible to use.
You'd have to put it on a wall.

FFVII>FF 5>FVIII>>FFX>FF Tactics>FFXII
As for the FFXIII the preview looks amazing. I do not own an XBOX 360 and nor do I plan on buying one. I mean 700 for the PS3 will be worth it just for the fact of FF. I checked a lot of the games out last night for it and I am just blown away by all the games. But none can compare to FF.
On GameFAQ.com they held the best gaming series ever...The Legend of Zelda beat out FF... That is a hard call. I think I may make a poll to get everyones input :)

Zelda is most definitely better.

Ehhh, for the overall series, I agree.
The Zelda series is really great overall.
However, I will still take FFVII over any Zelda game.
I honestly Love both series. I would have to say I like FF better because of the system alone. I like nintendo and all but I am not a fan of GC. The story line in FF is better to with more side quests so I have to give it an edge on that
parallelism, I'm with you on the sentimental value of VII, lols. IX, too. Both hold a special place in my heart. I pretty much compare every RPG I play to those.
XII does look amazing. I can't wait.
I also heard it's going to be very dark and the guy who worked on Tactics is "behind" it or some shit. I think the latest games in the Square-Enix franchise have been a disappointment, but this one is supposed to live up to the old.

Haha, yeah, dude, 7, 8 and 9 are all like that for me, really. I've played through 9 a little too much, but I still love it. And I also compare any other RPG I play to those three games.
Also, hearing that about the Tactics guy working on this game gets me really excited. I agree that the latest Square-Enix projects haven't been as good. X is pretty good, but X-2 is downright horrible. However, if they're saying that the new one is supposed to live up to the old, I'm all for it, and really looking forward to it, actually.

it takes place on the same country as tactics. ivalice. in the FFXII logo, you see the big guy? the judge? those were the enemies in tactics.
