Didn't they already make a movie? I remember reading it in sixth grade and it being completely over my head lol

Oh man I should reread this. I remember loving this book in middle school but now I don't even remember what it was about.

All these kids are getting spoiled nowadays, why should they have to read a book when they can watch the movie? hah.

I just watched a Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode where they made a joke about this book.

I remember the author had written several other books that I got into for a bit.

Thats definitely already a movie, but I love that book so I'd see a remake.
I'm way more excited about the adaptation of The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.

It was a television film. The studio is going for bigger.

The $35 million budget is a bit scary. I'd love to see this as a movie, but it'd better be pretty damn well done.

I read the book back in 6th grade and loved it. Time to take a crack at it again, as I don't remember much of the plot.

This is one of my favorite books ever from childhood. I hope this one actually does it justice. The TV movie a few years ago was one of the most disappointing films I've ever seen. This could be great if they stick to the book.

I remember loving this book (and this series) when I was younger. I can't for the life of me remember the main plot points though...

This and The Giver were awesome middle school level books, I feel everyone around that age range should read these.

I read this book way back in third grade: I loved it and went on to read its sequels (which weren't quite as good). I'll definitely see this.
