they should all go in together.

AND NATE NEWTON

Here's the thing though...Irvin has had his off the field problems...and he's not that dominate a reciever if you look back on his stats.

All-Time

Receptions (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/misc/rec.htm):18t
Receiving yards (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/misc/rcy.htm):14
Receiving TDs (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/misc/rct.htm):35t
Yards from scrimmage (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/misc/yfs.htm):38

So, I mean, couple the two and he may be waiting a while. Emmit is a dead lock, no doubt.

Nate Newton should go into the Weed Hall of Fame for having like 900 pounds in his trunk.

Wikipedia (Nate Newton):

On November 4, 2001 police in St. Martin Parish Louisiana, found 213 lb of marijuana in his white van. Five weeks later he was caught with 175 lb of marijuana on Interstate 45. He was sentenced to two years in prison, and has since then gone straight, renouncing his past and turning his life around. He is now a member of the North Dallas Community of God.

haha...unfortunately the Wikipedia cuts off...how it really finishes is

"He is now a member of the North Dallas Community of God...where he works in the back room packaging bags of weed to sell to kids at Bible camp".

Seriously, 388lbs of weed...that's more than he weighs...my god. How do you only get two years for taht much weed?

I was born in Irving... Troy Aikman was/is amazing. And Emmitt should go in pretty much immediately.

Oh, and I'm finally back for a while.

Oh, and I'm finally back for a while.
Emmitt Smith should thank Barry Sanders for retiring which allowed him to get the rushing title.

On second though, he should thank the Lions organization for surrounding him with a shitty team so he got tired of basically playing 11 on 1½ (the ½ being the occasional times the OL would tie someone up for a few split seconds).

but if you take him off that team, they probably don't win three superbowls. him, emmit and aikman all complemented each other so perfectly.

irvin's numbers weren't dominant, because they didn't need to be. when you're on a team with a backfield of johnston/emmit, and have alvin harper on your other side and jay novacek on the end of the line, he didn't have to dominate games with numbers.

irvin's one of the players where numbers don't tell the whole story. watching the guy play, and watching that team shows that he's a hall of famer. so is most of that offensive line and johnston and novacek and a good part of the defense.

i'm very very pro irvin in the hall of fame. dude deserves it, and hopefully gets his chance next year.

i think ken norton junior and darren woodson deserve bids to the fame. how bout jay novachek(sp?) actually how about the whole 90's cowboys team. fuck it. send them all.

Reggie White >>>>>>>>>>> Troy Aikman

Troy knows it too, hence being obviously bitter towards the Packers in every game he broadcasts of theirs.

yeah, cause it makes perfect sense to compare a defensive end to a quarterback.

they're both more than deserving hall of famers.

yea ok, its an "out there" statement...but as a packer fan, its easier to notice that Troy seriously cannot give Brett Favre any credit. I think the only time he even came close was the time Brett got a concussion, put himself back in the game for one play (4th and long), and threw a touchdown pass. Everyone up here cringes when Troy comes on at the start of a game.

which is clearly a great reason to compare reggie white to troy aikman. you know, since they both played the same position in everything. I know you don't come in here much anymore, but you may want to reconsider trying to justify anything you've said in this thread.

i was also drunk last night, thus toning down my statement.

if i wanted to back it up though, i would say that Reggie White is easily top 3 greatest of all time at his position. Troy Aikman? not so much.

still does no good considering they played different positions, so even that argument gets you nowhere.

and it's easily countered with: how many rings did white lead his team to?
