next time you wake up at 5, stay up until the next night. if you can.

Sometimes I take a allergy pill a few hours before I normally go to sleep and I sleep usually through the night. A lot of time at night I just stare at my celing or toss and turn.

i tried taking allergy pills, they just made me really tired and screwed up my motor skills. seriously, i ran into my wall. they also made me feel all floaty.

Don't sleep till 5 PM. Seriously.

I got into a horrible sleeping pattern when I was unemployed, such that I thought I'd NEVER be able to get back into a normal one. Then I found a job, I still couldn't sleep at night... but I had to wake up early for work. Work tired, come home tired, force myself to stay on till bedtime then...

Crash and fall asleep.

It's far from a foolproof plan and I still get massive insomnia at times but part of your problem is you sleep till 5 PM and then of course your body isn't ready for sleep at midnight or whenever. Better to force yourself up earlier and deal with it.

i used to have this problem every summer. I just started setting an alarm and making sure I had to do things in the day. If it's not super serious insomnia, it will correct itself.

masterbate.

but seriously, when i have this problem its because im not very active during the day. go out and do something during the day...go to a show...a amusement park and spend the whole day out there, youll be exausted and go right to sleep. if you can do that a couple of days in a row then you should start getting used to it and be cool.

you dont have insomnia

insomnia is when you cant sleep... like at all... ever. sleeping from 7am to 5pm just means youre biological clock is fucked. i can sympathize cuz this is my life.

that is probably closer to what you actually have. which is what i have.

i have this problem too.

How about I saw Street To Nowhere open up for Anathallo in Pittsburgh, PA.

They weren't as bad as I thought they would be, considering the band name, the instruments they had on stage before entering, and their slight image.

But as they say, never judge a book by it's cover, though the band was pretty mediocre, the vocalist had a voice and had exceptional guitar skills.

i legitimately have insomnia. i have very few answers other than taking some sleeping pills or being insanely active during the day. i basically just watch tv until i manage to fall asleep cause it keeps me from thinking (didnt work tonight cause i was comparing the similarities between high fidelity as a book and a movie)....but sometimes watching something will put you to sleep in 10mins or maybe 5 hours, its hit or miss.

i am a severe insomniac. i won't even attempt to get into bed until, on average, 6am(earliest, 5am) because if i do, i'll just be restless and get the chills when i dont have my blanket over my shoulders, and when i put it over, then i get the sweats. i'll fall asleep, at about 9am-10am and wake up, for good, at 5pm-6pm maybe. The worst is that I cant sleep for longer than intervals of like forty-five minutes so it's not even solid sleep- sometimes I just stay up for the whole while when i wake up for no reason. It's incredibly hard to deal with, but you can take control of it and balance it out yourself. I've done it before, and once I become too weak to deal with this i'll do it again. If you can't take care of it by trying to sleep earlier, see a doctor- seriously. even if he doesn't give you much help, he knows more about it than you do.
