Did you notice the disclaimer at the beginning of the demo saying it is in no way related to George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead....it's funny because it's like the same premise...but still the game looks like it's going to be awesome!

There's a lot of cool little things. Try throwing the cooking oil on the floor. Also, put the frying pan on the stove for a few seconds.
Also, there's a hidden uzi on the blue ledges next to one of the staircases.

I'm a sucker for games with so many weapons and things to experiment with. This demo is probably one of the funnest things I've ever played on the 360.
Do you think this game will be in stores on Tuesday? According to Gamespot, the game ships on Tuesday meaning it won't be in stores until later in the week.

Yeah...It ships on the 8th, and then the stores sell it as soon as they get the shipment in.

I'm pretty sure my cousin is going to buy it so I'll get to check it out. It got an 8 from 1Up, not a bad score. I didn't read the review but I have a feeling I can guess... positives are tons of weapons and tons of fun destroying zombies, negatives are controls a bit wonky and gets repetitive... right?

It'll be in tomorrow afternoon. If you go in to a Gamestop or EB etc. today and reserve it, they should sell it to you tomorrow when they get them in. If you don't reserve it you'll have to wait till Wednesday because they always have to fufil the pre-orders first, same as if you wanted to get it from Best Buy or the like. This is the case with pretty much every Tuesday.
I played it about 3 times, first couple were to test out all the items/weapons and their secondary uses, third was to just explore, but I guess I went too far because it ended with a CG movie.

I haven't really read any complaints as far as repetativeness goes. They throw a lot of stuff at you and the experience point system keeps things interesting. The story is supposed to be decent and the humor is supposed to be great.
The controls for the demos are pretty tight. The only thing that is irking is that when you want to throw a weapon or shoot a gun, you are forced to stand in one spot, as opposed to the developers mapping movement to the right stick and the aiming to the left stick while in that mode.
The complaints I have read have been about the save system (few and far between, like a lot of Capcom games) and the way the missions are set up (i.e. You need to build your character's stats as you progress in order to beat the missions, which only makes sense if you ask me.) They said it'll take a few trys to complete certain missions because your character won't be strong enough and you're working in a time frame.

The save/mission/time system is supposed to be really awkward. Something about there being two types of saves and the save points are few and far between and if you fail a mission you have to start all over again. I don't even fully understand how it works yet, but according to the reviews it's not too bad because the game is so fun.
I really do hate that the demo is both restricted to a certain area, AND has a time limit on it. It's 1GB for fuck's sake, at least get rid of the limit or extend it to something more than killing zombies! The Prey demo was huge.
From the looks of the game, it doesn't look too hard. Then again, I imagine bosses and stuff will start coming in later on. Also, the dates got me confused. If he's in the mall on September 19th, why does he go back on September 20th (Unless he stays overnight I guess).

My friend bought this today, it came in our EBgames. It's ridiculously fun. The save system isn't as bad as people make it out to be... I don't want to spoil anything, but if you like the weapons in the game, wait til you get the full thing coughsoccerballpwnt8zombiesatonetim ekicksrealfarcough. It's awesome.

yep, Dead Rising looks sweet, but i'm so broke i'll have to wait a few weeks to get it.
Bought it. EBGames ripped me off I think, but I don't care. They said I had to reserve another game or they wouldn't sell me Dead Rising, and I was too lazy to argue so I put 5 dollars down on Madden even though I'm not going to buy it.

Holy crap, funnest game ever.
Just played with a friend and we got really really far but when we died our last save was towards the beginning of the game, and you know what? I didn't even care. Instead of playing the same way we did the first time, we explored and found a driveable car and motorcycle, and a tunnel full of zombies.

Omg save system angers me. I died and hadn't saved in a while so now I'm back at the beginning, at level 4. Oh well, maybe I'll also go find a motorcycle. I need quit doing missions and fuck around for a while. All I know is the Soccer Ball owns, and so does the Lawnmower.

So fun. I completed the first set of case files early, so now I just get to fuck around until the next set comes. The save thing is frustrating though. I was trying to escort people and I had to leave them behind for fear of dying a third time. When they run out of health, it is funny, though. I think my guy's level is seven or so.

Have any of you found the battle axe yet? It's funny, if you hold down X for like five-ten seconds and let go, you swing it around for about 10 seconds and chop everyone around you up.

That sounds delicious. I didn't really take any time to explore yet. I've been leveling and doing the missions. The escorts suck because the AI is dumb...and it was night time and zombies turn all crazy.
Are either of you on the second case yet?
And I didn't go with the battle axe, I went with the katana.

I just got the game a little while ago. I'm actually a little overwhelmed. Does it matter who you try and save, or are you basically just trying to survive until the timer runs out? I've been trying to help the cop in the food court, but he never kills the guy running around up top.

From what I understand, the only ones that matter at first are the 8 Case Files, and then after the game is beat, a couple more modes will be unlocked where I assume you can make up what you ignored.
I'm on Case 7 and I've only saved 5 people.

This game is amazing. I just beat it and got the best ending... i'm gonna start overtime mode here soon. I heard it's hard as balls. So i might just go back into 72hr mode and level up.

Yea. It is a pain in the ass. I beat Overtime tonight, after i spent the day going back and leveling up. I'm at level 49 at the moment. I played one round of Infinite (Survival) Mode.. and it was fun. I only lasted 12 hours though.

I see this being like the Rockstar game State of Emergency (terrible).
This game doesn't have too many similarities. I thought that too at first when I played the demo, rented the game, and realized its a whole different game with the time aspect. The time aspect adds this weird tension to the game. It's a rush when you're trying to take your time beating a boss, but you really shouldn't be because you have to be somewhere in 20 minutes.
