or comic-con for the uniniatiated. It started Friday and just wrapped up today. I went on Saturday. Not that I was able to see everything that I wanted but here's some highlights.

-being made fun of by fat girl and cripple for not knowing who Veronica Mars is (when was the last time that chick ate?)
-being mooned by Crayon Shin-chan (starting August 19th on adult swim)
-seeing little kids fall on their asses in the Tony Hawk exhibit
-babes.blades.blood.beauty.
-50% off trade paperbacks

what I bought.

-Maniac Road volumes 1-3 (complete series)
-X-day volume 2
-Dragon Head volume 3
-Eden- It's an endless world! volume 4
-Boogiepop doesn't laugh volume 1
-Boogiepop & others volume 1 (novel)
-Vampire Hunter D volume 1 (hardcover novel)
-Blue Spring

...for about 50 bucks total

free stuff.

-program
-Civil War #1 (I'm on Scott's side)
-Virgin Comics sampler
-FUNimation preview dvds & postcards
-Gojira (Godzilla) preview dvd
-GITS:SAC poster
-CMX manga sampler
-Pokemon magazine

...and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember since I had to use the school computer and my stuff isn't with me. I've been trying to fix mine all day and I can't do nothing to it.

I saw a bootleg dvd booth there. They were the ONLY booth to have a sign that says they'll send all people to jail who steal their products.

I didn't either. Barnes & Noble has some Dark Horse titles in hardcover but I couldn't find a B&N logo on it. 5 bucks anyway, deal.

there's a new mutant registration act and new costumes. nothing much has changed since I stopped reading superhero comics.
