im really really digging Story of the Year's "The Constant" its super melodic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-7vHsNTUEA)and has a lot of catchy songs!

and im still listening to Motion City Soundtracks "My Dinosaur Life" really interesting lyrics (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-mntwBFHHE), i like they went back to darker stuff. way better than their last album.

also Close Your Eyes album is awesome! definitely check them out! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oka7kDpbqxQ) they combine a lot of good stuff! "We Will Overcome" is their full length, look it up!

what do you guys think, and any albums that have come out that i should check out?

Yeah, I have really high hopes for The Five Ghosts, i'm getting antsy just thinking about it. Ah...let's see, lately I have been listening to: Thee Silver Mt. Zion - Kollaps Tradixionales, The Six Parts Seven - Silence Magnifies Sound, Hot Snakes - Suicide Invoice, The Appleseed Cast - Peregrine, Flying Lotus - 1983, and a bunch of shoe-gaze stuff (e.g., Pale Saints, Catherine Wheel, Revolver, Thousand Yard Stare). Oh, no wonder why I was confused for a second, I meant 2010 releases haha, but it's cool. I couldn't really get into Kollaps for some reason. Disappointing. The Appleseed Cast and Flying Lotus are artists I've been meaning to check out. FL has a new album coming out soon, no?

Ah, my bad. I'm admittedly pretty far behind on my new releases...the life of a poor college kid. Flying Lotus is releasing Cosmogramma in May i think? Definitely check out The Appleseed Cast, they mix a lot of classic emo vibes with some post-rock tendencies.

Well, I've only heard two songs. The first was a hauntingly sparse instrumental lead by a lonely french horn, and the second was a more atmospheric, beat-centric tune with eerie whispers.

HIM: Screamworks
Greeley Estates: No Rain, No Rainbow
Four Year Strong: Enemy Of The World
Demon Hunter: The World Is A Thorn
Lifehouse: Smoke And Mirrors
Alkaline Trio: This Addiction

Currently jiving on those along with a few other notables. I've always been a huge HIM fan, so I got the deluxe edition of Screamworks and got it two days before official release. I was thoroughly pleased (to say the least).

And on top of that, we're supposed to have new releases from Sevendust, Stone Sour, Asking Alexandria, Bullet For My Valentine, and Disturbed.

I dunno if its me just expecting 2 much but nothing has really impressed me at all this year
This Addiction has moments of epicness (American Scream) but theres 2 much filler
I can't even get through My Dinosaur Life without loosing interest or falling asleep
Enemy of the World was alright, but I find once you've heard one Four Year Strong song you've generally heard them all
haha I could go on

Probably the only record that I really listen to alot thats come out this year is Ghosts on the Boardwalk by the Bouncing Souls (even though technically the songs were released last year)

Enemy Of The World is an absolutely driving album for me, I can't find a dull moment on it. Even though it's only been out for a little over two weeks, it's by far one of my favorite albums of '10.

I think it's because they remind me of "Paper Walls"-era Yellowcard and they're pure nostalgia for me. Another reason is because it feels... like a pure summer album.

new album is kind of boring, the whole album is SO predictable and it sucks. i loved how all the songs flowed on rise or die, and these are solid stand alone tracks, but the second half of the cd just seems like filler. and the songs are so-so. maybe i pumped myself up for it to be awesome and now it isn't. but i just think the new cd isn't that great. i rocked it so much the first two days when i bought it last week and now i don't even listen to it anymore.

The World We Know is still holding strong.
But it'll be a tough year because I'm still anticipating new albums from Anberlin, Saves the Day, Taking Back Sunday, Bayside, Jimmy Eat World, I Can Make a Mess(Again!) and a bunch of others. Then again, I have no moneys so I may not get to hear them
