Thoughts?

In my opinion,

Van Halen: Very well done rock music, not much substance, cheesy lyrics

Van Hagar: Even cheesier lyrics, but much better singing, and more defined sound.

IMO: Van Hagar wins.

You got that right. Sammy Hagar is miles ahead of david lee roth.

Sammy Hagar probably has a better voice, traditionally. But Roth does things with his voice that very few can do. Plus he's a better performer. Hagar is just a fat alcoholic that likes to compare his new band Chickenfoot to Led Zeppelin. Roth still has it. One thing I will give Van Hagar is they wrote better ballads.

I've never heard Van Hagar but I don't like Van Halen at all so I don't know.

Roth was on their best record, but all my fav songs are Hagar. People forget, quite a few of the Roth records were pretty boring.

Also, I'd rather see them with Hagar now. Roth's entire career was based on high pitched screams he can't handle anymore.

Van Halen duh

I only like 2 Van Hagar songs..... Dreams and Right now.

They had nothing close to a "Hot For Teacher" "Panama" "Runnin with the Devil"
