how can you even say twilight. they're both fan fictions that lack any intelligible value, but harry potter is a million times better with script, character development, and surprisingly well-designed plotlines (meanwhile, twilight is full of plotholes that are constantly covered up by some ridiculous skill the vampires have or whatever, and plenty of horrible lines). harry potter also has a unique tongue-in-cheek narrative, almost as if third person writing had taken a blithely amused and sometimes sarcastic observational tone. in addition to this, it never really attempts to go deeper than it is; it remains self-aware of the fact that above all else, it's a fantasy book written about teenagers for teenagers, and in between all of the imaginative fiction is a very realistic and relatable social construct between the students of Hogwarts (not to mention one that covers events and issues that correspond to the characters' ages in the books, as opposed to twilight being about falling in love forever at the age of like 15.) last but not least, for a book about love, twilight sure as hell does a horrible job representing the chemistry of a real connection. i mean all it is is a girl without a real personality, and a guy who does everything for her to the point where she falls into a uselessly submissive and helpless role, who really share little more than lust for each other, but like, an unhealthy and addictive amount of it.

comparing harry potter to twilight is like trying to compare a well-rounded, thoughtful, self-aware band with scene sensibilities like cursive, to any old shitty, scene, powerpop hype band who, apart from their terrible try-hard metaphors, really have nothing APART from that fanatic, juvenile scene appeal to support their music.

this. what I love about Harry Potter is the tongue in cheek humor, and the connections between the characters. As for Twilight, it feels like a 15 year old girl fantasy, writing about a boy she has a crush on, but barily knows.

ugh this websight really sucks

allow me to explain why twilight is miles better then harry potter

1. harry potter is about fake magic and wizards that don't even exist
2. werewolfs and vampires are geneticaly superior to humans (and fake wizards)
3. edward cullen is perfection, ron and harry are ugly nerds
4. bella is a great character and hermoine is one dimentional (oh look at me im smart and a girl wizard) bella has multiple personalites and is in love with edward
5. the cover of twilgiht is really deep and makes you think about it for harry potter its really just stupid and like duh
6. stephanie meyer is smarter than jk rowling
7. harry potter books are too long and boring i mean who has the time to read like 700 pages?
8. harry potter books have huge names like sorcers stone prizoner of azkaban etc. twilight books have nice short to the point deep names like twilight new moon eclipse etc.
9. twilight is a world wide phinomonon and is adored by everyone that isnt stupid (like ppl here......)
10. is harry potter required reading for some college courses? no but twilight sure is.

so shut up before you disrespect twilight in my presents again!

1. Learn how to spell.
2. Obviously magic doesn't exist but neither do vampires or shapeshifters (the Quileutes aren't werewolves, they can shift at any time)
3. You perceive Rob Pattinson to be perfection, not the actual character and that has nothing to do with the merit of either book.
4. Hermione has so many more dimensions than Bella, she's just a girl obsessed with Edward, that is one dimension
5. You can't judge a book by it's cover and the covers of Twilight is not deep in the slightest
6. Meyer isn't anywhere near the level of intelligence of Rowling
7. I read the Deathly Hallows in two days, you make time for a great book
8. Stop saying Twilight things are deep, they're shallow, I read the books and enjoyed the story but the writing is juvenile and there's nothing deep about the names of the series.
9. Twilight probably has the stupidest fans of anything in the world except for crunkcore. Most fans are little girls who like it because it's very simplistic and apparently it's sixth grade level reading.
10. Rowling had balls while writing Deathly Hallows, killing off so many main characters while Meyer choked and only killed some vampire that had no bearing on the story at all.

10. Rowling had balls while writing Deathly Hallows, killing off so many main characters while Meyer choked and only killed some vampire that no bearing on the story at all.
ugh like you would know anything ?

1. harry potter is about fake magic and wizards that don't even exist
2. werewolfs and vampires are geneticaly superior to humans (and fake wizards)
3. edward cullen is perfection, ron and harry are ugly nerds
4. bella is a great character and hermoine is one dimentional (oh look at me im smart and a girl wizard) bella has multiple personalites and is in love with edward
5. the cover of twilgiht is really deep and makes you think about it for harry potter its really just stupid and like duh
6. stephanie meyer is smarter than jk rowling
7. harry potter books are too long and boring i mean who has the time to read like 700 pages?
8. harry potter books have huge names like sorcers stone prizoner of azkaban etc. twilight books have nice short to the point deep names like twilight new moon eclipse etc.
9. twilight is a world wide phinomonon and is adored by everyone that isnt stupid (like ppl here......)

how can you even say twilight. they're both fan fictions that lack any intelligible value, but harry potter is a million times better with script, character development, and surprisingly well-designed plotlines (meanwhile, twilight is full of plotholes that are constantly covered up by some ridiculous skill the vampires have or whatever, and plenty of horrible lines). harry potter also has a unique tongue-in-cheek narrative, almost as if third person writing had taken a blithely amused and sometimes sarcastic observational tone. in addition to this, it never really attempts to go deeper than it is; it remains self-aware of the fact that above all else, it's a fantasy book written about teenagers for teenagers, and in between all of the imaginative fiction is a very realistic and relatable social construct between the students of Hogwarts (not to mention one that covers events and issues that correspond to the characters' ages in the books, as opposed to twilight being about falling in love forever at the age of like 15.) last but not least, for a book about love, twilight sure as hell does a horrible job representing the chemistry of a real connection. i mean all it is is a girl without a real personality, and a guy who does everything for her to the point where she falls into a uselessly submissive and helpless role, who really share little more than lust for each other, but like, an unhealthy and addictive amount of it.

comparing harry potter to twilight is like trying to compare a well-rounded, thoughtful, self-aware band with scene sensibilities like cursive, to any old shitty, scene, powerpop hype band who, apart from their terrible try-hard metaphors, really have nothing APART from that fanatic, juvenile scene appeal to support their music.

Amazing.

If you don't like this site, you don't have to be on it. Plain and simple.
Almost everyone who likes Harry Potter gave good reasons as to why they do.
Particularly Ryan of Northbrook.
That's the thing about this site. We tend to do our homework first.

Twilight is like an evil cult, everyone outside of it hates it and pretends it's not there, while everyone inside it screams at the people outside for not joining in until one day they all kill themselves when the franchise finishes.
