why did this take so long to figure out just take Tags' right hand man and let him replace Tags. I could've figured that out like 3 months ago.

Hey...it's all about the process...you have to know he is the right man for the job

:shake:

I agree, that it took so long is nuts

he wasn't the favorite for the longest time. the dude who was compared to tags back in the day was the front runner, but he dropped out of the race right as they were announcing the finalists. he's the ceo of dominos i believe. the owners really liked him.

after he dropped out, they started looking to levy. they almost had their heart set on getting somebody from outside the league, hoping that would strike twice since that's where tags came from.

then they realized levy wasn't as good as the other guy, but yet weren't sold on goodell because not all the owners were happy with the latest cba, which goodell was a big part of.

so in short, by the time all was said and done, they 'settled' for the guy who was best suited for the job all along.

me too. i've said all along i wanted goodell to get it. but i don't mind them taking their time. it didn't really hurt anything, and ya never know when somebody's gonna pop up out of nowhere.

i'd rather them take their time and make sure it's right than go the obvious route and realize it was all wrong.

I don't think it took that long. Goodell was elected on the fifth ballet.
You have to have candidates to vote on, so they had a committee do that. Then they had to interview the candidates and narrow it down to a certain number. Then they had to have all the owners vote it. Democracy isn't fast, but it works.

I've got it and I like it, but i'm a GAD fan. It's worth giving it a listen.

I'm gonna get it no matter what. Usually the AP consensus is wrong, so if everyone hates it it's probably good.

i couldn't disagree more.

there's plenty of room to grow. his job's much harder than just maintaining what's done now. if he doesn't use the current success to catapult the league to an even higher level, then it will be a failed tenure.
