So let me get this right, is it really that ridiculous to fail college level calculus because my mom has been yelling at me all day about making a D in the class.

tell your mom to learn the material and get a better grade, if she does, then listen to her.

i was failing until i dropped it...

then again my teacher was a little chinese man who spoke 4 words english and read the text book verbatim as if thats the way to teach a class.

only three people got c's and one person got a b.

the rest dropped it with me.

I'm not sure what other people got in my class but I know we started out with 27 people in my class and by the time the final came around there were 8 left. I mean my teacher wasn't bad or anything but I haven't made better than a C in a math class since I was 14 so it's never really been my strong suit.

I love calculus as it involves the use of small numbers. It's pretty easy if you know the stuff. Astro physics on the other hand, I could never pass it.

true that...calc II was hard as balls but I came out with an A in the class.

in light of that information, your mom shouldn't be surprised you got a D. why'd you take calculus anyway?

I got a 5 on Calc AB, so I got out of first quarter. Second quarter was half review, and I got a B- in that because I never went to class or tried to learn Taylor Expansion.

I got an A- in third quarter calc (vector). I thought it was fun too. I would be a math major if it actually had a use besides teachign.
