Preferred way to enjoy music?

I know there's a lot of variations, but i'm going to keep the options simple, and then you can elaborate in your post.

As for the Personal media device, i'm referring to the usage of headphones, not the usage of a built in speaker or a docking station, etc.

For me it's really close between in my car, and with my MP3 player while i'm laying down at night to go to sleep. Both ways have my full (or almost full) attention, but each one is better for different things, depending on the situation.
As much as I love just headphones, I prefer being surrounded by the music entirely, so i'd go with automobile.

I usually prefer to use my ipod, the bass on the speaker is awesome so all the songs are enhanced in a way. Second would be my car; I play all my cds in my car. Nothing beats the feeling of listening to a newly purchase album in the car

Easily in the car. I can't think of very many things in life that are more soothing and pleasant than just driving alone and getting lost in music. I actually look forward to the three hour drive from school back home just to relax and get into that vibe. So many good memories like that.

Exactly what I was going to say, except not the iPod. I listen to CDs in the car, mp3s on the computer. A good stereo system with CDs is my preferred method.

I would listen to CDs in my car, except that my CD player crapped out about a year ago, so iPod through the tape deck it is. Even if I had the choice, though, I much prefer the iPod for long road trips, instead of lugging around a whole case of CDs.

Purchasing a physical release of an album, flicking through the album booklet and just reading the lyrics while I'm listening to the music. I've always just had that sense of overwhelming enjoyment doing that. It makes my first experience with a record completely memorable.

Im also into putting a cd in my stereo at night and just mellowing out with it.

I'm kind of anti I-pod/ mp3 player, like I have one for the gym or when I'm riding the bus to school but to me they encourage playing individual songs 2 much, where I feel records deserve to be listened from start to finish
