this day forward goes down as one of my favorite bands ever. and transient effects of light on water is definitely my favorite of theirs.

but anyhow, i had been talking to vadim for a long time, right after the breakup of TDF, and he sent me a bunch of acoustic songs he did(like the one on the robotic empire sampler), along with a bunch of SOTS demos as well, which was pretty cool...he seemed like a really awesomely nice guy. he told me about marigold way back when, and when i finally got to hear their stuff, i was blown away. i have no idea how anyone could say that circa is a better band than either TDF or marigold, but then thats assuming a lot, considering 99% of CS fans dont know of either. damn shame.

i have extreme dislike for that pussy anthony green.

This Day Forward is one of my favorite bands of all time. They were one of the bands that really got me into playing music and I get really depressed when I mention them and people have no idea who I am talking about. In Response is in my top 5 albums of all time for sure. As far as comparing them to Circa Survive, I say I'm extremely grateful for Colin and Brendan continuing and doing something amazing, because the end of This Day Forward was definitely a sad day, but when I heard about Circa getting together, especially with Nick from Taken, I was really happy. I drove 4 hours to see Taken's reunion show in Hamilton, ON and Nick couldn't make it because he was touring with Circa Survive, but guess who took over bass duties for the show...Vadim. It was awesome. I vote for a This Day Forward / Taken reunion tour wsg: Circa Survive.
