my roommate brought all of his from home and we've been learning tricks. i'm actually having a hard time just getting the kickflip down hahaha

I remember a kid in middle school who got ridiculously good with these. Part of me wanted to admire the skill that he clearly worked so hard to master, but I couldn't get past how lame of a hobby it really is.

Me too. I once made a skatepark out of blockbuster video cases and cd cases.

tech decks were all the rage in fifth grade. I had a t-shirt.

Haha pretty much. It's not like we had anything better to do during class. I was probably the only kid who could actually throw and land tricks. Everyone would just flip the board and hope it did something cool.

I had a few back in the day. I remember for Christmas "Santa" got me 2 decks and a part of that trick skate park. I'm sure I have it somewhere around my house.
