NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- New Orleans quarterback Adrian McPherson (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=7328) went to the locker room early in the third quarter after a golf cart ridden by the Titans' mascot hit him at the end of halftime Saturday night.
A Saints spokesman wasn't immediately available for an update on the quarterback, who's heading into his second season.
The mascot was riding on a golf cart and throwing items into the stands during halftime, and was heading off the field when the Saints were returning from their locker room for the third quarter.
The cart hit McPherson, who stayed on the field for a few minutes being checked out by a trainer on the sideline. He then walked off the field.

yeah. i just read that.
that sucks. i like mcpherson a lot and want him to get a chance at some point.
Hes OK I believe. it said he walked off. I just found it funny. It reminds me of my friend driving the golf cart and we came up on the tee box for tee off and he ran over an old guy. then he thought he was pressing the break to stop but kept pressing the "gas" and was stuck on him

in the news the other day there was a story about a 15 year old girl who killed her mom while learning how to parallel park. hit her, went to hit the brake but hit the gas some more instead and killed her dead.
that was more sad than the mcpherson story.
OK this thread went from somewhat funny to depressing.

hahaha. i love when people say that when that's the cause of an accident. that or "i thought i was in drive, but it was reverse" is another good one.

haha, exactly. i shouldn't laugh at either of those stories, but come on, that's just ridiculous.

Yes he was ok. When he got up he started to yell at my friend saying how our generation is terrible. He told the head of the golf course and my friends no longer allowed to drive a golf cart there.
