For anybody curious, Say Anything (http://www.myspace.com/sayanything) and Ben Lee (http://www.myspace.com/benlee) will not be playing with Dashboard Confessional (http://www.myspace.com/dashboardconfessional) at The Rave in Milwaukee next Tuesday. The openers will be Maritime (http://www.myspace.com/maritime) (ex-The Promise Ring), Decibully (http://www.myspace.com/decibully), and John Ralston (http://www.myspace.com/johnralston).

Not really because Maritime is awesome. I never got to see The Promise Ring live so I made sure to check out Davey's new band and was very impressed.

I don't see anything ironic about it. Just weird.
Maritime is amazing though. Good for them.

I went to this tour in Pittsburgh a week ago and as great as I thought Say Anything and Ben Lee were, you could tell that majority of the crowd just wanted Dashboard. With a band like them, it doesn't really matter who opens unless its someone you know everyone (even the 13 year olds and frat boys) have heard of ala Brand New. Maritime, Decibully, and John Ralston are all excellent though.

maritime has opened for dashboard before. at summerfest in the summer of 04. amazing show.
sound wise they are pretty much like the promise ring. they are awesome though. i am super excited john ralston is going to open though because he's doing a headlining show at the rave a week after the dash show and i didnt know which one to go to. this makes it easy though!

i was at that show. i really dug ben lee which was weird because before i just couldnt get into him. and i personally thought say anything were terrible live and max just kept telling people to go buy merch.

Say Anything NEVER COMES TO MILWAUKEE. They are always scheduled to, but never come. I love Maritime though.

maritime's website is actually www.maritimesongs.com, not the random-ass myspace it was linked to
I would have much rather seen Maritime open. I saw DC at Radio City... Ben Lee was surprisingly entertaining (and truly funny), but the more I hear from them, the less I understand people's infatuation with Say Anything.

this is just horrible. this date was switched already because they played two shows in chicago, and now the two openers are dropped. i think it sucks for the milwaukee kids.

I was at the show in Camden, NJ. I was deff more excited to see Ben Lee than Say Anything. Ben Lee was awesome, and nice, and funny. I think he really got the crowd going. You're right, Max just kept telling everyone to go buy merch. Plus he sounded horrible live, and spent a large part of the show with his back to the audience. I wasn't impressed.
fuck i would kill to see decibully
