I think MJ pushed off but Russell also lost his balance which made it seem a lot worse than it actually was.

it would've been an even more pimp/badass play had jordan kicked him in the head--on purpose.

my favorite is probably the cleveland shot as well. but i think a shot that's often over looked is his shot in the 2003 all star game (http://youtube.com/watch?v=US7ThzzT29c&mode=related&search=). it shoudl've been a game winner, but jermaine oneal is an idiot and fouls kobe when he takes a three at the end of the game to send it into double ot. this is why i hate jermaine oneal. dumb ass.

hahaha an All Star game shot cannot compare to any other of his shots. It's an exhibition.

Personally, the one against Cleveland is my fave.

it doesnt matter. you're boy oneal is a fucking idiot and ruined what possibly could've been one great memory to remember michael from playing in his wizard days. exhibition or not, anytime jordan played it was a big deal. i didnt say it was my favorite, just said i think its one people forgot about. that's why i talk shit on oneal alot is because of that moment. that's all ill ever remember him as.

Yes it should have been.

One of the worst things to ever happen in sports "imo"

are you kidding? worst thing to ever happen in sports? fucking stupid.
it was not an offensive foul. there was contact, but a referee would never call a foul even if the situation did not involve the last play of the NBA championship and the greatest athlete of all time taking the shot. russell had no chance of getting the call

It also didn't help that Russell lost his footing in addition to the "shove-off"

there's no way that was a foul. not even close. let's face it, when you watched that play live when it happened, you said "oh my god, the greatest player of all time just went out on a great defensive play and then hit probably the game winning shot to win the nba finals in utah."

i never heard any utah jazz fans booing there because there was an obvious missed call.

a referee could barely dream of seeing that, let alone calling it a foul.
