I've heard this band compared to IWSMOFFY by a couple of different people. Do you think it's a good comparison?

Theoretically they're nothing alike, but I guess using bowed strings in screamo-based music will inevitably make people link the two. I think calling it a "happy party equivalent of IWSMOFFY" is a fair description, but do you agree?

Yeah, it's not really much like this at all haha. They were a bit more experimental than most screamo bands but yeah their a semi-old skramz band, if you consider 2001-2007 old :-p

FWIW I think this band is nothing like IFSMOFFY musically or lyrically. We're probably closest to N!tro and Breathe Carolina than anything else. But when you have bowed strings and screaming, people will inevitably associate you with that IFSMOFFY, so in a way it's a useful reference point.

Hehe, they're actual screams with all the lows and mids EQd out to sound like whispers. That way they sit in the mix better and sound less scary (more commercial).

You think that eqing the lows and mids (phone effect) our of a scream (which you aren't even doing) makes it more commercial and less scary? This cant be real. I did lol though. FWIW, I'm not comparing myself to them - I'm comparing myself to Breathe Carolina, BC13 etc. Other people have made the comparison to IWSMOFFY. To be honest that just confused me - I'm asking if they have a point.

We are not ironic, though. I really, really don't understand why anyone would think we are.
