I hate playing the Red Sox and Mets. If you win its no big deal, you're supposed too... but if you lose it's talked about for days

yea im in sox nation and no one is really bragging because there are 161 games left. big papi may be the best player after june but its useless when they are vying for a wildcard and not a division championship at that point. between the yanks, rays, and sox we may have three teams in the same division with over 90 wins this year, its never happened before.

because we're not the only ones who are dumb enough to put Boston before Baltimore on the standings in left field, i guess both teams need to learn the alphabet and know what letters come first

I feel like this rivalry has gotten stale over the last couples years once Boston beat them for the world series spot. The curse was broken so its not as cool anymore. But with that said; I already got my bleacher creature seats for when Boston comes to the stadium in May!

I think the rivalry isn't as good as it used to be but both teams are also now in the Top 3-5 in the league so it's always great when top teams face off.

I wish that they didn't play what 18 times a year?

I think with so many games it makes each one less intense, but I also think that all teams should have balanced schedules like play every team 9 times instead of division teams playing so many times.

But just my 2 cents...

I agree that because then what's the point of play other teams at all if only playing in your division helps your games at hand. You play all teams the same amount of times and regardless of division the best 4 teams from each league go to the playoffs. I think it would enhance the rivalry a lot. You get half the amount of games, make them mean more.
