I get tired at times of listening to same bands over and over but I also get tired of checking out shitty band after shitty band. Maybe I'm just being a bitch, but can you guys help me out and suggest some new music for me to listen to? Here's a list of some of my favorite bands:

No Use For A Name, New Found Glory (other than Catalyst/Coming Home), Yellowcard (more punk-ish stuff), Pennywise, Rufio, Alkaline Trio (mainly Crimson, Remains, and the new album), old Unwritten Law (Elva was the last half-good album), Allister, Showoff, Anti-Flag, old Ataris, Bad Religion, Bouncing Souls, Four Year Strong, Set Your Goals, Dynamite Boy, Face To Face, old Get Up Kids, old Goldfinger, Millencolin, Lagwagon, Jimmy Eat World, Pulley, Offspring, Rise Against.

There's a list, anyone got any suggestions of anything you think I might like? I'm really digging the new Four Year Strong album, so preferably something along those same lines or something like 90s/early 2000s punk rock like NUFAN. I like small/local bands too so if you're in a band I'll take a listen to that too. If you just want to come here and insult my musical taste, please fuck off, I'm looking for suggestions.

Coming Home was okay but what's wrong with Catalyst?

Staring Back http://www.purevolume.com/staringbackThese guys kick ass. I checked them out a few years back when Ryan Mendez left for Yellowcard. Feel Past The Words is my favorite song by them.

Coming Home was okay but what's wrong with Catalyst?I really can't put my finger on it. I've tried, but for some reason I just find myself skipping most of the songs...don't get me wrong, it has some GREAT songs, but I think it was just such a big letdown for me from Sticks and Stones. All Downhill From Here is very good live, like everything NFG plays at shows.

I have a soft spot for Catalyst. It was the first album I ever bought. I still enjoy it, but I do enjoy thier more older efforts more.

The last three albums from the Rx Bandits. If you don't know them already, they will probably become you're new favourite band... ever.

I've listened to these guys off and on over the last 10 or so years but not recently...they have a lot of REALLY good songs, but a lot of songs I really don't care for either. Guess I better go check out their latest stuff.

Might take a little getting used too, since they're a bit more... jammy, than some of the bands you listed. But once it clicks, wow haha.

Also, Hot Water Music's album Caution.

Hot Water Music is a good band, although the only songs I've heard by them are on Punk-O-Rama comps. I don't know why I've never listened to their other stuff. Maybe I'll just go take a listen to their album Caution...

Edit: Just noticed that Caution was on Epitaph, that's usually a good sign for me.

Eagle Scout's cd was pretty good. The Wonder Years reminds me of stuff I used to listen to, which are a lot of the bands you listed.

You can't go wrong with Against Me!. I always recommend The Swellers to fans of Four Year Strong. If you're into lyrical more than instrumental, check out the new Wonder Years album, The Upsides. GREAT writing coming from that group. Nural's pretty good, too.

My general recommendations are Say Anything (...Is A Real Boy only. I'm not really a fan of anything that came before or after. Sorry, Max), Thrice, Foo Fighters, The Raconteurs, Frank Turner, and A Wilhelm Scream.

Also, Third Eye Blind's self-titled album (their only GOOD album, in my opinion) is just great.

Coming Home was okay but what's wrong with Catalyst?

Agreed! Catalyst is one of my favorite Pop Punk albums. There's not a song on there I don't like.

A wilhelm scream is really good, especially the CD "Ruiner". Don't know if you mentioned Anti-Flag but I generally go to them for my punk fix. Strike Anywhere has some solid albums. The Movielife, I Am The Avalanche, The Matches (especially E. Von Dahl Killed The Locals), and I generally recommend PMtoday's new album to everyone who asks. It's streaming in full on their purevolume page if you care to check. Hope some of this helps!

Edit: Fireworks is pretty much along your musical tastes I think.

Thanks everyone! I've got a good list of new music to go check out now. The Swellers seemed like a popular choice for some of you. I've heard their name before but for some reason I never listened to them. Now that I'm hearing a few of their songs, I have no fucking clue why. They're awesome.

Edit: Fireworks is pretty much along your musical tastes I think.I miss The Movielife. They were one of the best hardcore pop punk bands of my high school years. Great band to see live, too. E.Von Dahl Killed The Locals has my favorite song by The Matches, Borderline Creep. That's one song I can listen to over and over and over again.
