i met a girl last weekend and i really liked her. we swopped digits and that night, i had a dream that i was with one of my ex-girlfriends and she was saying she loved me. and it doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but if you knew us, you would understad how long i've waited to hear that. anyways, the next day, i couldn't stop thinking about her. (dream girl) and when the other girl called me, i had no clue who she was or whatshe was talking about. it took me a while to figure out what was goning on, but anyway. i dont want the dream girl to mess up any chances i'll ever have to be with someone else. i dont want to end up obseesing over her. i want to date other people. I REALLY, REALLY want to date other people. but i cant if i cant stop thinking about her.

The dream girl will stop being the dream girl once you get a real crush on another girl, which will probably require you to spend a fair amount of time with another girl.

Just be (sort of) honest with the new girl and tell her you want to take things a bit slow at the moment and then hang out with her a bunch and I bet you'll forget about the old one soon enough.

it seems like first you should take some time to get over dream girl, it isn't fair to someone else you'd date if your thnking abotu dream girl all the time. Then go date other people.

obviously you still have issues with the dream girl. sort them out, figure out if there's anything left between the two of you. then, you'll be able to move forward to whatever is right.
